Good afternoon! Students on Amstelveen campus win thousands of euros in lottery

Good news for four students who live in Uilenstede in Amstelveen: they will receive 25,000 euros credited to their account because the street prize of the Postcode Lottery has fallen in their street. This afternoon Gaston Starreveld of the National Postcode Lottery was at the door to hand over the checks.

The Postcode Street Award has been awarded to postcode 1183 AN, in the street Uilenstede in the district of the same name.

There, a total of more than 3,400 students live on the student campus, four of whom now have less money worries. These winners live between Uilenstede 110 and Uilenstede 166.

“It doesn’t cover the student debt, but it’s a lot of money”

100,000 euros

The street price is 100,000 euros. Because four students play with one ticket, they receive 25,000 euros per person.

Gambling tax is still deducted from that amount, leaving approximately 17,500 euros. “It doesn’t cover the student debt, but it’s a lot of money,” says one of the winners enthusiastically.

A car was also raffled among the participants.

Later today, NH will publish a report showing how the students are handed the checks from Gaston Starreveld.
