Former Argentina soccer international Gonzalo Higuain will end his glittering career in Major League Soccer after the current season.
This was announced by the Inter Miami star striker at a press conference on Monday.
In the past 17 years, the 34-year-old has played more than 700 games, including for Real Madrid and Juventus Turin.
“The day has come to say goodbye to football,” Higuain announced on Monday: “I will always keep all the beautiful moments in my heart and in my head.”
Higuain has scored 12 goals in his last 14 games for Inter Miami, owned by English superstar David Beckham.
