Due to the corona restrictions, the US PGA and LPGA golf tours have canceled their tournaments in China planned for October this year.
The Buick LPGA Shanghai was scheduled to be held at Qizhong Garden Golf Club from October 13th to 16th. The PGA Tour announced the cancellation of the WGC HSBC Champions scheduled for October 27-30 in Shanghai.
It is the third year in a row that both events will not take place due to the corona pandemic.
Most recently, there had been an accumulation of new corona infections in Chinese cities, including Shanghai. The authorities there imposed strict lockdowns that affected several million people.
