The clothing group Goldner Fashion Group has further expanded its portfolio. After the company acquired the Madeleine brand just a few days ago, it has now also taken over the Alba Moda label.
The transaction, which is scheduled to be completed on February 1st, took place as part of the winding up of the insolvent trading group Klingel Group. Its wholly owned subsidiary Alba Moda GmbH has now sold “its Alba Moda brand as well as the customer addresses and inventory” to the Goldner Fashion Group, the company announced on Wednesday. The designated owner plans to open the label’s new online shop in March.
The Klingel Group, whose parent company K – Mail Order GmbH & Co. KG filed for bankruptcy in May 2023, will cease business operations at the end of January. Over the past few months she has already been able to sell the clothing brands Klingel, Babista, Mona, Miamoda and Happysize as well as the shoe label Vamos and the jewelry supplier Diemer
Goldner CEO Anton sees Alba Moda as “a perfect complement” to the group of companies
In addition to the core brand Atelier Goldner, the Goldner Fashion Group, based in Münchberg, Upper Franconia, has recently also included the Madeleine label. The group acquired its trademark rights and online shop from the insolvent Madeleine Mode GmbH at the beginning of the month.
Marcus Anton, CEO of the Goldner Fashion Group, explained the background to the latest acquisition: “Alba Moda is a perfect addition to our group. With our expertise in the best ager sector, we see great potential to further expand our offering through the acquisition of the brand,” he explained in a statement. The merger of Atelier Goldner, Alba Moda and Madeleine under the group’s umbrella opens up “the opportunity to further strengthen our positioning on the market and to broaden our offering in the area of high-quality women’s fashion,” says Anton.
