Golden Goose Feather for Nelleke Noordervliet ANP
The Gouden Ganzenveer 2022 goes to author Nelleke Noordervliet. This was announced on Saturday in the De Taalstaat program on NPO Radio 1.
The Academy De Gouden Ganzenveer honors Nelleke Noordervliet as “a particularly versatile author who is extremely conscientious in everything she writes and does”. Since her debut as a writer in 1987, she has “written an impressive and successful body of work, which is still very much alive: in addition to more than ten novels, it includes novellas, stories, drama, essays, non-fiction and columns”.
Moreover, she always promotes the importance of the Dutch language and culture, also as a director in the cultural world, as a columnist and as a guest writer, says the jury, chaired by Jet Bussemaker.
The award ceremony is Monday, September 12. The Gouden Ganzenveer is awarded to a person or institution because of his or her great significance for the written and printed word in the Dutch language.
Previous winners include Margot Dijkgraaf, Abdelkader Benali, Ian Buruma, Antjie Krog and Arnon Grunberg.
