More than 60,000 people saw a fairground floss fall down on Wednesday 20 July via the livestream of Omroep Brabant. Thom Jansen from Tilburg is happy. he is the winner of the Gouden Kermispas.
And so on Friday at the opening of the Tilburg fair, he can go to all kinds of fair attractions for free, gets a dinner for two in the Kermisrestaurant and can go to the opening of Pink Monday in the Bierhal.
Fun more important than the attractions
For Thom and his friends, the Tilburg Fair is a regular fixture. “We go there two or three times a year anyway.” But if you ask Thom what he likes most about the fair, it’s not the attractions. “It’s mainly about conviviality. Watching people and having a drink.”
But of course the Gouden Kermispas will change that this year. “Now we are really going to the attractions for the first time this year, of course!”
