Twelve current Bundesliga talents are still on this year’s list for the “Golden Boy” award after it was reduced from 80 to 60 players. In the case of the Italian “tuttosportInitiated award, the talents who stood out in their clubs and national teams through particularly good performances within the last calendar year – i.e. across seasons – are voted on. Requirement: You must be under 21 years of age and have played in Europe during the relevant rating period.

The roster will drop by 20 players on the 15th of each month until 20 talents remain by mid-October. In the reorganization in August, 30 players were removed, but ten new ones were added, including Bayern Munich’s new signing Mathys Tel (17) and Reinier (20), who returned to Real Madrid after an unsuccessful loan from Borussia Dortmund. Also new in the race: Ex-Bayern talent Kenan Yildiz (17), Karamoko Dembélé (19), Alejandro Garnacho (18), Bjorn Meijer (19), Carney Chukwuemeka (18), Cole Palmer (20), Mattia Viti (20 ) and Kristjan Asllani (20).
Players like Jérémy Doku (20), Luka Sucic (19), Rayan Cherki (18) or Georginio Rutter (20), Jakub Kaminski (20), Aster Vranckx (19), Ilaix Moriba, well-known from German football, are now missing (19), Tanguy Nianzou (20), Joe Scally (19), Luca Netz (19), Tiago Tomás (20), Lazar Samardzic (20), Malik Tillman (20) and Jayden Braaf (19), Becir Omeragic (20 ) and Fabian Rieder (20) from Switzerland and Sucic or Amar Dedic (19) from the Austrian Bundesliga.
