Judo Vice World Champion Anna Monta Olek gave the German team the next gold medal at the World University Games Rhine-Ruhr.

The 22-year-old prevails on Friday in Essen in the final of the weight class up to 78 kilograms against her Brazilian opponent Beatriz de Freitas. The evening was also successful in Bochum for the spear thrower Nick Thumm, only Swiss Simon Wieland (79.33 meters) threw further than the 20-year-old (78.47).

In contrast, Kilian Kappelmeier had a look against the Romanian Alexandru Sibisan in the bronze stamp of the weight class up to 100 kilograms. The athlete Franziska Schuster also narrowly missed the podium in the final over the 100 meter hurdles.
