FC Bayern will have to do without Daniel Peretz for the time being. The keeper was injured during training.

Injury shock for FC Bayern: As the record champions announced on Wednesday evening, Daniel Peretz suffered a bruised kidney during training. Further specialist medical examinations are to follow on Thursday. This means that FC Bayern “will initially have to do without the 24-year-old goalkeeper,” as it goes on to say.

The goalkeeper’s loss comes at a bad time for Munich. Because Manuel Neuer’s appearance on Saturday at the Bundesliga restart after the winter break at Borussia Mönchengladbach (from 6.30 p.m. in the live ticker on t-online) is still unclear after his rib fracture. Neuer sustained the injury at the beginning of December in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup against Leverkusen (0-1). Neuer was represented by Peretz in the last four competitive games before the winter break.

Replacement goalkeeper Sven Ulreich was also not available to Bayern for personal reasons. The 36-year-old is now training with the team again and would probably be ready in Gladbach.
