Goalkeeper coach Edwin Zoetebier left Vitesse, next step still unknown

Edwin Zoetebier leaves after two seasons as goalkeeper coach at Vitesse. The former football player of FC Volendam and Feyenoord, among others, is succeeded by Raimond van der Gouw. It is still unclear what Zoetebier will do now.

Before his period at Vitesse, Zoetebier worked in three different periods as a goalkeeper coach at FC Volendam. Between 2008 and 2011, in the 2015-2016 season and from 2018 to 2021. He left after ‘a difference of opinion’ at the Eel farmers.

In his career as a goalkeeper, Zoetebier played for Volendam, Feyenoord, Vitesse, PSV and NAC Breda, among others. With Feyenoord he won the UEFA Cup in 2002.
