Goal scorer Robert Mühren: “Going home with a good feeling”

After three defeats in a row, FC Volendam took another point against Vitesse (1-1). This resulted in satisfaction with the Eel farmers afterwards, although there had been more residents. “A visit to Vitesse normally feels good,” said Robert Mühren, the maker of the 1-0.

“We started better than Vitesse, so I have the feeling that there was more,” Mühren told ESPN. “They were better in the second half.”

After the goal of the Volendammer, it was unclear whether he was the maker. “I made him one hundred percent. You also tell that to my cheering. A real world goal,” Mühren reacted with a laugh when he saw the goal again. “A point at Vitesse is normally nice. We had lost a few times in a row. We take a good feeling home with us.”

Filip Stankovic excelled with several great saves, trainer Wim Jonk also saw. “Our keeper is always stable. We get a lot of goals (21 ed.), but he also stops a lot. He was less busy than usual, but was already better at the corners.”

The coach also indicated that Franco Antonucci has resumed training sessions and hopes that he will join again next week.
