Globetrotter for the first time joins a group of composites. From June, the outdoor provider of the Sport 2000 trade cooperation will follow.

“We have been in an intensive exchange with Sport 2000 and the outdoor division for some time. In particular, the strategically well -founded and partnership -based service offering convinced us,” said Globetrotter Managing Director Andreas Bartmann in a message on Tuesday.

Globetrotter runs 22 shops with a total of over 60,000 square meters and wants to further strengthen its leading market position in the outdoor area with the partnership.

Sport 2000 is expanding a position in the outdoor

By joining Globetrotter, Sport 2000 is also expanding its leading position for the specialized outdo village trade in Europe. The network, based in Mainhausen, includes 2,000 specialty shops in seven countries, which achieved outdoor sales of around 4.04 billion euros in 2024.

“We understand the decision of Globetrotter for a partnership with Sport 2000 as confirmation of our strategic approach to offer tailor-made services for specialized premium key accounts,” said Sport 2000 managing director Dominik Solleder about newcomers.

Sport 2000 belongs to the business cooperation Unwr Group, one of the largest trade cooperations in Europe.
