Glennis Grace will not be able to complete her 200-year community service by singing in some old people’s homes. She will mainly do cleaning work, says Probation Service Netherlands.
Looks like the 200-hour community service isn’t going to be an easy task for Glennis Grace. Ozan Demirbas, community service manager, tells Shownieuws that the singer, for example, will not be asked to sing here and there in retirement homes. “At least it’s not singing songs,” he says.
Scrubbing Glenda
So what should Glennis think about? “It is mainly cleaning work, refurbishing things, supporting in the kitchen.”
Is it impossible that Glennis will be placed in the Jumbo? “Not necessarily at a supermarket, but something that looks like it is at least packing food at an institution that contributes to the Food Bank or even the Food Bank itself.”
At the side of the road?
Because of her status as a celebrity, we will in any case not see Glennis standing by the road. “There is really nothing different about a well-known Dutchman,” he says.
He continues: “There is only a component that we also have to take a good look at that someone’s reputation does not get in the way of community service. By that I actually mean that someone should not be continuously harassed during the performance of that community service.”
Quite diverse
No job has been chosen for Glennis yet, but it could be anything. “These are mostly socially relevant projects,” says Ozan.
“From nursing homes, hospitals, cemeteries to our own group projects, in which people perform outside the community service under the supervision of a foreman. That is quite diverse.”
