Glennis Grace summoned, departure from Ladies of Soul seems inevitable

Glennis Grace and her new boyfriend Dion Kars have been finally summoned by the Public Prosecution Service. They have to answer to the judge on October 26, a month after the Ladies of Soul concerts.

Glennis Grace, beloved Dion Kars and son Anthony, like four other members of their vigilante team, have been summoned by the Public Prosecution Service. They are suspected of ‘open assault and premeditated assault in association’ during their explosive visit to the Jumbo branch in Amsterdam’s Jordaan earlier this year.

Ladies of Soul exit?

The painful thing for Glennis? She is not expected to appear in court until October 26, which is a good month after the planned Ladies of Soul concerts on September 23 and 24. She has still not been kicked out of the women’s group by her friends Berget Lewis, Candy Dulfer and Edsilia Rombley, but that now seems inevitable.

The ladies have always insisted that they do not want to throw Glennis out, because prior to the concerts it might turn out that the incident is ‘not too bad’. Edsilia at Beau last month: “I’m also curious how long such a case lasts. When is it allowed to go outside what happened?”

No clarity

Well, that date is now known: one month after the Ladies of Soul concerts. And since Glennis does not want to say anything about the brawl prior to the case, it means that it will not be clear in time what exactly happened in that Jumbo branch. Not in time for those two concerts in the Ziggo Dome anyway.

Does this mean Glennis’s departure from the ladies’ club? An insider tells Weekend that the other three ladies hope so. “It’s still too painful and too fresh. Things will probably be very different next year and she will be able to participate again, but September still seems a bit early,” said the source.

silent hope

The results of the investigation by the Public Prosecution Service are by no means certain. “The Ladies don’t want to put their girlfriend in front of the block, of course, but quietly hope that she herself announces that she will skip this year,” says an insider.

According to Weekend, however, that chance is ‘extremely small’. “Glennis has already lost tens of thousands of euros in income throughout the riot this year. The chance that she voluntarily also distances herself from her pay for the Ladies seems very small.”

Rush

One thing is certain: the Ladies of Soul will have to make a decision soon, because the end of September still sounds a long way off, but that will be in four months. And the preparations for a concert take a very long time.

If a replacement has to be found, ‘time is running out’, says Weekend. “A new repertoire will have to be selected and also rehearsed. So the Ladies have to make haste with a decision.”
