Glennis Grace has refused to appear on the morning show Coffee Time for years. As long as Frank Awick is out there behind the scenes, she won’t show up. “That’s an annoying little man!”
The dark side of Glennis Grace was first captured on camera in 2011, when she went completely crazy against a motorist during a report by Frank Awick for the Amsterdam channel AT5. The singer and the interviewer blocked the public road, whereupon the man started honking. “Kolerelijer”, the singer yelled.
Glennis boycotts Loretta
Frank is currently working behind the scenes of Koffietijd and that is precisely the reason why Glennis does not want to have anything to do with the program of Loretta Schrijver and Quinty Trustfull. “She said to colleagues: ‘As long as Frank works there, you don’t have to call me!'”, he says in weekly magazine Privately.
Then why is Glennis mad at Frank? “Glennis still thinks, twelve years later, that confrontation with the angry gentleman in the car was staged by me or people from AT5. She even proclaimed that we desperately needed these kinds of confrontations for the ratings. Big nonsense.”
Screaming images
It is according to Frank lariekoek that this would have been staged. “I was just as shocked then and I look forward to staging things. After all, something like that always comes out. She personally blames me for the fact that her screeching images are now seen as historical television.”
He continues: “The strange thing is that she only came up with her conspiracy theory years later, in 2018. She never approached me personally about this, but she did complain to colleagues. In addition, I immediately got the qualification that she had always found me an annoying little man.”
Sell nonsense
Frank thinks it’s very bad that Glennis talks about him like that, because he has given her a stage for years to promote her work. “Whenever she had something to sell, she knew where to find me.”
He still thinks she’s a great talent, but: “She shouldn’t start selling nonsense!”
