Borussia Mönchengladbach with a peat festival and FC Augsburg are the next Bundesliga teams to reach the second round of the DFB Cup. Gladbach won 9-1 at fifth division club SV Oberachern on Sunday, Augsburg won 4-0 at regional division club BW Lohne. SC Freiburg and TSG Hoffenheim had to tremble for a long time. Led by triple goalscorer Marcus Thuram, Borussia Mönchengladbach has confidently advanced to the second round of the DFB Cup. The striker scored a hat-trick in the 9-1 (6-0) win against fifth division SV Oberachern on Sunday (3rd, 22nd and 36th minutes) and paved the way for a successful competitive debut for new Gladbach coach Daniel Farke. FC Augsburg barely reached the second round in the debut of their new coach Enrico Maassen.
