Gladbach is looking for a Hütter successor

Mönchengladbach (dpa) – According to media reports, further cooperation between Borussia Mönchengladbach and coach Adi Hütter is questionable.

“Sport Bild” reported that the Bundesliga soccer club was looking for a successor on the market. According to Sport1 information, advisers from other coaches should have been spoken to.

Gladbach’s sports director Roland Virkus had not made a clear commitment to Hütter before the last game of the season against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim (3:30 p.m. / Sky), even after repeated requests. Virkus (55) initially pointed out on Thursday that he had said everything on the subject. When he was told that he only said he “wanted” to start the new season with Hütter and not he would, he replied: “We want that and we’ll discuss everything else.” Hütter himself explained: “I have a contract, I have nothing else to do, I don’t want to say more about it.”

The “Rheinische Post” reported that there would be a clarifying conversation with Hütter in the near future, this was “open-ended”. The 52-year-old Austrian came to Mönchengladbach before this season for a transfer fee of 7.5 million euros from Eintracht Frankfurt to succeed Marco Rose. Borussia has clearly missed the European Cup places and is in tenth place before the 34th matchday.
