The two people who were injured on Wednesday when a car drove into them on Willemstraat in Eindhoven are a 16-year-old girl from Teteringen and a 41-year-old man from Tilburg. The police reported this on Thursday. The driver is still missing. He drove into a group of people twice after getting into an argument with a number of people.
Things went wrong on the street on Wednesday afternoon, in front of the Pink coffee shop. Several people got into an argument with each other. According to the owner of the coffee shop, one of them had just been kicked out of the business because he was rude to the staff.
The argument between the group then got out of hand. A man decided to get in his car and drive into people.
According to eyewitnesses, the man turned around at the traffic light and then drove into the group again. Then he drove away. The police are still looking for him.
A 16-year-old girl from Teteringen was slightly injured. A 41-year-old man from Tilburg was injured in the leg. This man was later arrested by the police for making threats. A 26-year-old man from Breda interfered with the arrest and was also arrested.
The police have not yet made any statements about the reason for the argument. The investigation is still ongoing.
