Forward missed 121 professional games
Daniel Ginczek has been hit particularly hard when it comes to injuries in his professional career. He has missed 121 competitive games since turning professional with Borussia Dortmund in 2010, as his player profile in the TM database shows. At least ten more will be added by the end of the year. His club’s Fortuna Dusseldorf manager Daniel Thioune has confirmed the seriousness of the injury sustained by the 31-year-old striker on Friday.
“We hope he can come back on Jan 2nd 23. Even an operation is still possible,” Thioune said on Monday from the “picturequoted. A tendon in Ginczek’s thigh ruptured. The top scorer was substituted after 65 minutes in the 1-2 draw against 1. FC Heidenheim with a heavily bandaged leg.
