The fastest woman in Germany starts in the capital. The “Finals 2022” will be held in Berlin from June 23rd to 26th. Athletes from 14 sports will fight for a total of 190 German championship titles.
A highlight will be the Athletics Championships in the Olympic Stadium with Gina Lückenkemper (25).
The sprint star from Bamberg (starts for SCC Berlin) ran 11.04 seconds in Wetzlar a week ago, the fastest time in four years and is looking forward to the finals.
She says: “A really cool format, Berlin offers so many possibilities and the many sports can present themselves together in front of many fans.”
Lückenkemper was on a flying visit to Berlin on Wednesday and Thursday. She says: “I tried my hand at starting the kids run at my club’s midsummer meeting. That was nice and I used the day after to train a bit more in the Mommsen Stadium.”
