The British shoe supplier Dr. Martens Plc has found a new chief financial officer. On Tuesday, the company announced the appointment of Giles Wilson as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Wilson will therefore take up his new position next year. Dr. wants the exact date. Martens will announce “in due course”.
The personnel decision was preceded by a months-long search after current CFO Jon Mortimore announced his resignation in the spring. Mortimore will remain with the company until the end of the current financial year, according to a statement.
His designated successor comes from spirits supplier William Grant & Sons Limited. Wilson also held the position of chief financial officer there. He previously worked at aviation service provider John Menzies Plc as CFO and later as CEO.
