Gigantic warehouse offers Port of Ostend more possibilities

This morning the gigantic warehouse was officially put into use. The warehouse costs almost four million euros. That is a substantial investment, but Rebo, a subsidiary of the port, expects a lot from the multipurpose storage space. Ships can now place goods on the quay that can also be stored inside the warehouse. “The intention is for the port to become stronger and for us to differentiate ourselves in different areas. Thanks to the new warehouse, we can now also attract new traffic and goods. Not all goods can just be left outside. The warehouse now provides a solution and gives the harbor more possibilities”, explains mayor Bart Tommelein.
