Berlin’s Mayor Franziska Giffey (SPD) is campaigning for her city

Before the UEFA decision on the final host for the EM 2024 in Germany, Berlin’s Governing Mayor Franziska Giffey campaigned again for the capital.
“I can only say to everyone who is wondering what the right answer is: This is Berlin,” said the SPD politician on Monday.

The executive of the European Football Union (UEFA) wants to decide on the game plan for the next European Championship and thus also on the allocation of the final on Tuesday.
“As a sports metropolis, we are simply the city that is best suited to shine internationally for such an event,” said Giffey. Berlin is a “cosmopolitan city with a heart”.
She therefore very much hopes that UEFA will choose Berlin. Munich is the strongest competitor for the final.
