A heavy hailstorm with stones of up to 10 centimeters in size has caused a lot of damage in the Spanish province of Girona (Catalonia). Footage on social media shows the huge hailballs as they come down and someone hiding under a vehicle so as not to be hit. According to the Spanish newspaper ‘El País’, 50 people were injured. A 20-month-old girl didn’t make it. She was hit on the head by a hailstone and died.
