The biggest fight in the history of the league broke out in the fight between Hero Bears and Taoyuan Leopards in T1, known as Taiwan’s first basketball league, yesterday and completed with the superiority of 120-108 guest teams. The scuffle, which started when Taoyuan Leopards defender Chen Hsiao-jung elbowed Hero Bears captain Chiang Yu-an in the face, turned into a fist fight with one minute before the end of the match played on the Hero Bears’ court. While the two basketball players were fighting, Lin Chieh-ho, the assistant coach of the Hero Bears, entered the field and attacked the opposing team’s athlete.
EX-NBA STAR SHOOLED AT DWIGHT HOWARD
Former NBA player Dwight Howard, 36, playing for the Taoyuan Leopards, was also involved in the brawl. After the match, which stopped for 20 minutes, the referees, who watched the footage again, sent a total of 12 players, together with Howard, to the outside of the park. Making a brief statement to the local press after the match, the experienced basketball player said that he was just trying to stop the fight and was unfairly kicked out of the game.
