Gianni Chiarini focuses on growth abroad

The Italian leather goods supplier Gianni Chiarini Firenze has set itself ambitious growth targets: “Our plan is to achieve sales of 40 million euros in three years by increasing the export share from the current 40 percent to an expected 60 percent,” explained Ezio Raccichini, the General director and managing director of the handbag specialist, in a recent company announcement. In the past financial year, the company had already increased its revenues to around EUR 27 million through growth in all sales channels.

“The growth engine of the strategic plan” is “the strengthening and expansion of partnerships with Internet retailers and department stores,” explained the company. The focus is on the “development of pop-up stores and shop-in-shop deliveries in key markets such as Japan, the DACH region and Spain”. In addition to “an increased presence in the focus markets”, the company is also “looking for new opportunities in the United States and in Asia, particularly in the markets in China and Korea,” according to a statement.
