The Prada Group appoints Gianfranco D’Attis as CEO of the Prada brand.
D’Attis will take up his position from January, the Italian group, which owns the fashion houses Prada and Miu Miu, announced on Tuesday. As Managing Director, he will be responsible for the strategic development of the Prada brand in all markets.
Most recently, Gianfranco D’Attis held the position of President for the Americas at Christian Dior Couture and, according to his profile on the LinkedIn careers network, previously worked for two and a half years as Managing Director at the French luxury house. His experience in the luxury sector, with a particular focus on retail, will help Prada increase growth potential on a global scale, the statement said.
Just last week, the Prada Group announced the appointment of Andrea Guerra as the new CEO. With this, Prada initiated further steps for the successor at the top of the company, which was previously jointly managed by chief designer Miuccia Prada and her husband Patrizio Bertelli. On the creative level, designer Raf Simons has been leading the design team together with Prada since 2020.
