The police forced a wrong-way driver on the A16 highway to stop on Sunday evening. The car drove from Roosendaal on the A58 and the A16 in the direction of Hazeldonk.
On the way, 130 kilometers per hour was driven and the driver almost caused a number of accidents. Oncoming traffic warned the driver in vain with high beams.
At least three police cars followed the car on the other side of the road until the car could be pulled off the road. The driver had to surrender the driver’s license.
