On Friday, a motorist at the start of the night was afraid of a number of passenger cars and a truck scared. This happened on the A59 motorway near Waalwijk. The woman was under the influence of alcohol and drugs. She is 38 and comes from Kaatsheuvel.
According to a witness, the woman could be taken off the road on the Winterdijk in Waalwijk. In the end, nobody was injured in her nocturnal antics and there were no clashes.
Around ten past twelve Thursday night ‘irresponsible driving behavior’ was reported to the police: a car had driven up against the traffic at the Waalwijk-Oost exit on the A59. Several other road users were just able to prevent a collision, as a witness reported.
The driver had apparently noticed that she was wrong. She drove back towards the same exit, after which she bumped into a crash barrier. She then continued her route to Waalwijk.
The police were able to stop her on the Winterdijk in Waalwijk. She also took the woman an alcohol and drug test. This showed that she was under the influence of both alcohol and drugs. The motorist has been arrested and research must show exactly how much she used. Her car was badly damaged at the back.
