Ghent commissioner flashed at 109 km/h in ‘own’ built-up area on last working day: “I saw my entire career flash before me” | Inland

Eric Naudts (67), the commissioner who is known in Ghent and the surrounding area for the countless actions against nuisance, ran into the lamp himself on his last working day. After his retirement party he drove home at 109 kilometers per hour where he was only allowed 50. It was his own colleagues who pulled him over and revoked his driver’s license. The commissioner has an impeccable reputation and has never been flashed before. “It was the last day of my career. I hope the judge invokes extenuating circumstances.”
