GHB user falls asleep after car accident, police pick him from intersection

The police removed a sleeping man from his car in Tilburg on Wednesday morning. Shortly before, he had driven into a lamppost and said he had used GHB.

The 38-year-old man was found in his car, with the engine running, at the intersection of Hogeschoollaan with Professor Gimbrèrelaan. Shortly before that, he had driven into a lamppost on the Gilzerbaan.

After the collision, bystanders called the police. Officers searched for the man and eventually found him at the intersection.

The man indicated that he had used GHB. The police don’t think that’s the only thing, but he refused a blood test. He also did not have a valid driver’s license. The man has been arrested and is in custody.
