GGzE Board of Directors suspended after breach of trust

The Supervisory Board (RvT) this week suspended the Board of Directors of the GGzE in Eindhoven. The reason is a breach of trust, which, according to the Supervisory Board, has created an unworkable situation.

The Executive Board of Eindhoven Mental Health Care consisted of two members. These were Machteld Ploeg and interim director Peter Littooy. They have been inactive since 10 August.

The spokesperson would not say exactly what the reason for the breach of trust is. In a short statement, it is called a radical and painful decision, which was ultimately taken “in order not to endanger the administrative continuity of GGzE.”

Aware of the impact
An interim director will be appointed shortly. “Until then, the management team, mandated by the Supervisory Board, looks after the current affairs.” The quality of care would be guaranteed by a solid team of practitioners. Treatments and guidance continue as usual.

“The Supervisory Board is well aware of the impact this decision has on the organization and the individual employees. The newly appointed interim director, together with the management team, will continue to give the necessary attention to all matters”, the statement reads.
