GGD happy with recognition in report corona approach
The GGD is pleased with the recognition of the efforts made during the corona crisis by its 25 departments in the country, as it now sees in the research report of the Dutch Safety Board (OVV). The umbrella organization is happy with “mentioning the great effort of the GGDs, as a result of which they quickly caught up with vaccinations compared to abroad in the first quarter of 2021”.
The GGD GHOR is also pleased with the care taken in the implementation of the vaccination campaign. CEO André Rouvoet goes one step further: “The start of the first vaccination campaign was certainly difficult, but we managed it together. That shows the great implementation power of the 25 regional GGDs. I would therefore like to compliment the thousands of people who have committed themselves to fighting the corona pandemic, both the many permanent GGD employees and the people who provided temporary support.”
The GGDs will take the advice in the latest OVV report to heart. “Because unexpected developments follow each other at a rapid pace during a crisis, it is crucial to continuously evaluate how the organization is dealing with this and how it can be done better next time,” says GGD GHOR.
