Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya visited referee Halil Umut Meler, whose treatment continues in a private hospital in Ankara. During the visit, President Erdoğan had a phone conversation with referee Meler and wished him a ‘get well soon’. Erdoğan said, “We are really sorry, may God heal us. Seeing and watching such a thing seriously saddened us. Especially as a Rize resident, we were also saddened. Because such a thing happened in the Rize match, it seriously disturbed us. Both the Minister of Justice and the Ministry of Internal Affairs “I told my minister and other relevant friends that we must do whatever is necessary quickly. May God grant recovery. My friends are with me now, and they also wish me a speedy recovery,” he said.
When President Erdoğan asked about her condition, Meler said that she had cracks under her eyes and thanked her.
CHIEF PHYSICIAN EXPLAINED HIS SITUATION
Chief Physician Dr. Mehmet Yörübulut also informed Erdoğan about Meler’s health condition. Yörübulut said, “His condition is very good, his blood pressure had increased a little, but now we started to lower it. It seems like the tension caused by the incident. Because he did not have high blood pressure before. The bleeding in his left eye has started to shrink. There is a small crack there, but what makes us happy is that there was no event related to the brain. He did not have blood pressure before. “We looked, there is no bleeding there. We are planning to discharge him in the evening, maybe tomorrow morning,” he said.
