It takes some getting used to for Eva Jinek: she was once the celebrated star on the late evening, but now she has to do her best to even get into the top 15 viewership. All attention is suddenly turned to her new direct competitor Arjen Lubach. He scores the tiles of the roof night after night.

Arjen to eve?

Now that Margriet van der Linden disappears from the tube, according to Omroep MAX boss Jan Slagter, a great successor is ready. He argues in favor of moving Arjen from late evening to early evening. As a result, he would no longer face Jinek, but opposite RTL Boulevard.

Jan: “I’m sure that if you put Arjen Lubach there at seven, I also read that somewhere today, well: that scores quite well. That goes to 1.2 or 1.3 million you know. The talent is there, but not everyone can wear a talk show.”

Eva hysterical

Angela de Jong begins: “You just mentioned Arjen Lubach. I can really see that sitting there at seven o’clock, but good: he is already recording at 5.30 pm…”

Then Eva interrupts her abruptly and starts screaming: “I think it’s a genius plan! Move straight to seven o’clock! Listen to Angela de Jong! Immediately! Everyone watching, listen to her!”

Hearts for Angela

Angela thinks Eva is celebrating too early. “No, no, no, but he doesn’t make an hour and he now records at half past five in the evening and then he needs that time to get on the tube at ten o’clock. That will be at half past three. That is almost impossible. I am sorry.”

Eva doesn’t let her party spoil and talks loudly through it: “Why isn’t it there yet?! Immediately to seven o’clock! Angela, hearts to you, thank you.”
