Simon Geschke is starting in the Tour de France for the tenth time. The 36-year-old, who won the mountain stage to Pra-Loup in 2015, is part of the French Cofidis squad like his German colleague Max Walscheid.
The team is led by last year’s Tour eighth, Guillaume Martin from France.
The Tour of France starts in Copenhagen on Friday. Geschke convinced with third place at the German championships and is in demand as an experienced helper. Walscheid, who had a serious training accident in March, wants to put himself in the limelight on the flat stages.
