Emma Wortelboer, also known as the screaming girl of the Eurovision scoring, has taken part in the talk show Marcel & Gijs derogatory about the province of Groningen and the people who live there. She participated with host Marcel van Roosmalen, who held a speech to keep the gas field in the province open.

It is unbelievable how this imported Amsterdammer talks about the north, says Gert. According to him, the people of Groningen are not complainers at all. “There where people never complain but carry on, work hard, stand with their feet in the clay, and have their hearts in the right place. Emma, you don’t know what you’re saying. Loser.”
‘What nonsense!’
Harry Vermeegen agrees with the criticism of Emma, he says opinion channel. “That’s the kind of girl who says: look at me, dare to say everything! Yes, we see that, Emma. Nice though. Such a kind of national blabbermouth. Oh, oh, how nice, yes! And then he is on TV and he says in one go: ‘Groningen is a shitty province.’ Come on… Great, tough.”
He continues: “Why does such a girl get such a platform? No idea. An entire province like that is: whoop, completely pushed aside. And those people have it hard enough already. With the gas, with Ter Apel and FC Groningen has also been relegated. Groningen is a great city, so what are you talking about? All of that can only pass on TV.”
Fierce criticism
Emma is even through her criticism trending topics on Twitter. She is beaten down hard by the people. “Emma Wortelboer should be deeply and deeply ashamed,” says Mr. Frans.
