Gerry Weber appoints new head of sales and brand director

Gerry Weber International GmbH is filling two key positions at the beginning of the year: Arnd Buchardt is taking on the role of Managing Director Sales and Frauke Stein is taking on the role of Brand Director of the Gerry Weber brand. Buchardt and Stein are celebrating their comeback in Halle/Westphalia.

In his new role, Buchardt will be responsible for the Gerry Weber Group’s sales activities across all channels, the clothing group, which includes the brand of the same name as well as Samoon and Taifun, announced on Monday. In addition to him, CEO Dirk Reichert and CFO Florian Frank are also part of the management.

Buchardt worked for the clothing retailer from 2004 to 2016. There he worked first as sales manager and then as managing director of Life-Style Fashion GmbH. In 2013 he became part of the board and was most recently responsible for the areas of product, brands and licensing. Between his current appointment and his previous time with the company, he worked independently and in an advisory capacity.

“Arnd Buchardt is a proven expert,” says Reichert, Managing Director of Product and Organization. “He knows the market, our company and our brands and has already successfully contributed to establishing and expanding our market position in the past.”

Brand Director comes from Betty Barclay

Stein is also returning to her old place of work, where she worked from 1999 to 2025. She was initially responsible for the Knit and Jersey division as product manager. She later also took on the role of Creative Product Director for Gerry Weber Edition. Most recently, she worked as managing director of Life-Style Fashion GmbH within the group.

She then moved to the Rottendorf-based clothing provider S.Oliver Group, where she worked as Global Product Director for the Comma Casual Identity brand. In 2019 she then moved to Betty Barclay Group GmbH & Co. KG, where she took over overall responsibility for the Cartoon Division product.

“Frauke is a product expert. She has a keen sense of trends and the needs of customers,” says Reichert. “She knows how to further develop brands according to the needs of our customers and at the same time create the right balance between bestseller management and fashion, giving the collections a unique style. She appreciates agile working and will tackle the challenges pragmatically with the team.”

Stein succeeds Brigitte Danielmeyer, who is leaving the company “at her own request,” according to the statement. Danielmeyer has served in this role since 2022. She previously worked for the fashion chain C&A as Director Buying Women.
