The German road bike team missed a medal in the mixed relay of the European Championships in France.

The selection of German Cycling took the disappointing fourth place among only seven nations started. Only the outsiders of Luxembourg, Estonia and Ukraine landed after 40 km behind the German team.

Miguel Heidemann, Paul Fietzke and Louis, as well as the women’s Olympic Olympic champions from Tokyo Franziska Brauße, Mieke Kröger and Lisa Klein were finally 1: 25.1 minutes behind hosts France, who surprisingly secured the title in front of Italy (+6.3 seconds) with the two-time world champion Filippo Gann. Third place went to Switzerland (+40.1) around world champion Marlen Reusser, who had triumphed on Wednesday.

In the European Championship decision, the three men of each nation initially went on a 20 km route and then handed over to the three women. However, the German men only drove in pairs at an early stage, as unfortunately unfortunately had to have tears off. The strong German women were still able to make up for a place.
