In the fight against relegation from the world group, the German tennis women in the Billie Jean King Cup have to deal with Croatia away from home.
That was the result of the draw on Thursday in London. The playoff games will be played on November 11th and 12th.
Team captain Rainer Schüttler’s team missed the final tournament (November 8th to 13th in Glasgow) after losing 3-1 to Kazakhstan in April.
Germany has twice won the women’s team competition, formerly known as the Fed Cup (1987 and 1992). The team was last in the final eight years ago (1:3 in the Czech Republic).
