Things are getting better and better for the German athletes at the Olympic Games in Beijing. After the recent medals, a prestige success is now perfect – at least temporarily.
Germany has once again taken first place in the medal table for the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing, at least temporarily. After the success in the team relay in tobogganing on Thursday, the German athletes were able to collect gold six times and silver three times – and thus overtook the leader Norway.
The Scandinavians have already won a total of twelve precious metals (currently 5x gold, 3x silver and 4x bronze). However, the medal table is sorted by gold medals – Germany now has one more.
Most medals so far have gone to the Austrian athletes. 14 times there has been a result on the podium – four gold, six silver and four bronze medals. However, there are still a lot of decisions to be made.
