The final match of the 2023 FIBA World Cup, organized jointly by the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia, was played between Germany and Serbia at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Philippines.
While Serbia finished the first period ahead with a score of 26-23, the halftime was tied with a score of 47-47. In the third period, Germany was more effective in attack and finished the period ahead 69-57. In the competitive last period, Germany did not allow Serbia to return and won with a score of 83-77.
With this result, Germany won the World Cup for the first time in its history. Serbia lost its second final after 2014.
