German teams miss playoffs of Valorant Challengers

The group stage of the Valorant Challengers in the EMEA region, which includes Europe, is over. With G2 Esports, BIG and Focus, all German teams miss the playoffs.

The preliminary round is particularly bitter for the professionals from G2. Actually, the team of the e-sports organization based in Berlin had not only targeted the playoffs, but also the renewed participation in the Masters. However, after losing 2-1 to Fnatic on the final day of play, G2 sit in a disappointing fourth place in the strong Challengers Group A with just one win from five games.

Equal on points, but with the worse map difference, the German champion Focus has ended its premiere season in the highest European Valorant league. After four previous defeats, the team managed a 2-1 victory against OK LDN UTD.

Meanwhile, in Group B, which was played at the same time, the third German representative, BIG, ended the Challengers season bottom of the table – also with a record of one win and four defeats. Against the Turks from BBL Esports, the team conceded a final 0-2 defeat. This means that all German teams will miss the playoffs that start next week.
