According to consistent media reports, a Berlin man who is said to have stabbed a German in Mallorca was ordered into custody on Monday.

The fatal argument early on Friday morning was about money owed, the police had previously said. The alleged perpetrator is 27 years old.

The German was arrested near the scene of the crime on Ballermann in the early hours of Friday, shortly after the crime. The crime took place in front of several mutual acquaintances of the two men, the police said.

According to media reports, the 37-year-old victim was stabbed over 1,200 euros. The suspected perpetrator comes from Berlin, wrote the “Diario de Mallorca”. According to official information, both the alleged perpetrator and the victim lived permanently on the island and were also registered there.
