German riders in London without a chance

The German show jumpers had no chance of winning at the Global Champions Tour in London.

Philipp Weishaupt from Riesenbeck was the best German starter in the 300,000 euro test in ninth place. With four penalties in normal circulation, he missed the jump-off on Coby. Weishaupt’s stable mate Christian Kukuk also had a down on Mumbai and finished 14th.

The Belgian Pieter Devos secured the victory and 100,000 euros, who showed the fastest clear ride in the jump-off on Mom’s Toupie de la Roque. His compatriot Olivier Philippaerts, who was also flawless, finished second on Miro. Jur Vrieling from the Netherlands took third place. He also stayed comme laude without mistakes.

London was the eleventh of 15 legs in the series. Christian Ahlmann from Marl continues to lead the overall standings ahead of Devos. He had given up on Solid Gold in normal circulation in London.
