FRANKFURT (Dow Jones) — German retail sales developed better in March than initially assumed. As the Bundesbank announced, sales increased by 0.9 percent compared to the previous month in real terms. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) had reported a preliminary decline of 0.1 percent.
According to the revision, sales for the year were 1.7 percent lower.
