German police discover 70,000 ecstasy pills in the car of a young Belgian | Abroad

drugsThe German police have caught a 24-year-old driver from our country with 70,000 ecstasy pills, good for a street value of more than half a million euros. The young driver tried to flee at 200 km/h, but was arrested after a chase.

The 24-year-old driver caught the attention of a customs patrol at the border between the Netherlands and Germany a week ago, on March 25. The police tried to put him aside near Salzberger, not far from the border with Enschede in the Netherlands.

However, the driver fled at 200 km/h, overtaking cars in the right-hand lane. Only after a kilometer-long pursuit was the patrol able to stop the fleeing car.

In the trunk was a travel bag and backpack with almost 70,000 ecstasy tablets, good for about 30 kilos and a street value of 550,000 euros. The driver has been arrested.

95,000 euros cash money

At another border control, near Aachen, two Algerians, aged 28 and 33, were arrested last Thursday. The two drove into Germany from our country. They could not present any identity papers, but they did have 95,000 euros in cash in their pockets.

One of them claimed that they wanted to buy three cars with it. But because they contradicted each other and could not explain where the money came from, the money was confiscated. The two men were arrested and handed over to the Belgian authorities.
