National coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg has held initial talks with the German Football Association about her future and confirmed her interest in continuing.
“To be precise, there was only one conversation. I’m relaxed. We’ll probably sit down next year,” said the 54-year-old to the “kicker”. “If the general conditions are right, I would very much like to extend it.”
Voss-Tecklenburg’s contract runs until after the World Cup in Australia next summer. At the European Championships in England, she led the German selection to the final, where she was defeated by the hosts.
