After the free skate, Isabell Werth also won the Grand Prix Special. At the end of the dressage competitions, Werth secured her 17th title at the Stuttgart German Master.
Riding her eleven-year-old mare Superb, the 54-year-old from Rheinberg received 74.213 percent in the Grand Prix Special on Sunday and thus landed in the German Master ahead of second-placed Sönke Rothenberger from Bad Homburg with match point (72.596). Katharina Hemmer and Denoix took third place (71.915 percent).
Successful tournament for Werth in Stuttgart
For the seven-time Olympic champion Werth, it was the 17th master title in the Baden-Württemberg state capital. She had her horse Emilio’s last appearance in Stuttgart already won the World Cup freestyle on Saturday. The 54-year-old also won both the qualification for the freestyle as well as those for the Grand Prix Special.
