German foreign trade increases

WIESBADEN (dpa-AFX) – German foreign trade picked up in August. After a mixed July, exports and especially imports increased month-on-month, according to figures from the Federal Statistical Office on Wednesday. Exports increased by 1.6 percent and imports by 3.4 percent. Analysts had expected smaller increases in each case.
